Oxidation

Oxidation looks at how Rust became Rust — not as a straight development timeline, but as a project constantly reacting to itself.

Ideas are proposed, tested, changed, abandoned and sometimes rediscovered years later. Technologies are replaced while parts of their work survive. Developers publicly describe what they want to try, players push back, bugs answer questions nobody had asked yet, and what began as one person’s idea gradually becomes part of a much larger project.

Through its changes of direction, technical rebuilds, individual personalities, community creators and old versions left behind, Oxidation follows the forces that keep reshaping Rust without ever completely replacing what came before.
